AOD Ministries was born out of the Adapt or Die Mission—a movement rooted in discipline, leadership, and faith. What began as a call to challenge the body and mind through training and the outdoors soon revealed a deeper purpose: to challenge the heart.
From the very beginning, the phrase “Adapt or Die” was never just about survival—it was about spiritual endurance. It reflected the truth that in order to live fully, we must die to ourselves daily, as Christ commanded, and allow Him to transform us into leaders who serve with humility, strength, and love.
Through years of experience in the military, the outdoors, and leadership, Steven discovered that true preparedness isn’t measured by how much weight one can carry, but by one’s faith, character, and willingness to serve others. His passion for community, adventure, and continual learning became the foundation of something greater—a calling from the Lord to build a ministry that equips men and women to lead well, live faithfully, and persevere through life’s toughest battles- growing closer to Christ through it all.
Today, AOD Ministries carries that calling forward.
We exist to train and disciple leaders—physically, mentally, and spiritually—through shared experiences in the outdoors, endurance events, and biblical fellowship. Every event, every ruck, every challenge is an opportunity to grow closer to God, to sharpen one another, and to live out the Gospel through action.
AOD Ministries is full of broken sinners that have found where true hope comes from. Not in our abilities, our knowledge, our wisdom, our accomplishments, or how we look, but in Christ alone.
AOD Ministries stands on one simple truth:
“In Christ, we find the strength to endure, the wisdom to adapt, the courage to lead, and the hope of our salvation."
4 Pillars that Define our Ministry
Faith: Christ centered living through surrender, obedience, and humility. Colossians 3: 1-3
Family: Leading those that we love towards Christ in all that we do. This starts with loving and seeking the Lord in our Faith, loving our wives, respecting our husbands, and caring for our children; this is all part of the sanctification process. Matthew 22:37, Ephesians 5:22-33, Proverbs 22:6, 1 Peter 1: 15-16
Community: Selflessly serving those in need; protecting, providing, and ministering to all people. Building families and communities that strengthen our Nation and honor the Lord. The community of believers exists beyond our borders and we are called to share the Gospel in every climb and place. Matthew 28: 26-28, Psalm 33
Hard Work: None of this comes easy. It takes the whole body of believers coming together to honor the Lord as they diligently work to glorify God through serving others. Colossians 3:23

Jeremiah 17: 7-8
